Afternoon at the movies...

So - yes, Enzo turned 6 last week and had a lovely day. He has, however, been bothering us for an honest to goodness party with friends who arrive ready to run around and are, preferably, bearing brightly wrapped gifts. We did that today. We saw Alpha and Omega, which the kids seemed to like, but.... hubby and I were not too crazy about it (in a funny, glance sideways at each other, wondering about blatant innuendo and other oddities - mostly made us smirk and analyze later, which we do quite like doing ;-). And... the boys did just that (ONLY boys, mommy) - a couple kindergartners - a couple first graders (not to mention little brother, little sister AND big sister ;-) - all Mommy's boundaries in an attempt to happily blend last year's classroom friends with this year's) .... they played hide n seek in the theater's wide open super cool party room - ate chicken, popcorn and pizza and drank soda, and.... saw the movie. Good time had by all ;-).

Some of you have emailed, texted or Facebooked regarding whether or not the party was a success and whether or not the party coordinator, the room, etc. was worth it. And... I have to say - yes, yes, yes..... I can give you all more details individually, but... all these 4,5 and 6 year old boys watched the movie through without incident - we had a huge, really nice room, TONS of food - they were occupied - we did NOTHING (no clean up, etc.). Anyway.....
