Today is shaky.

Olivia's last school mass at her beloved school :-(. We'll probably shop for graduation dresses later. Hubby very busy at work. Milo is throwing up sick - had a fever all day yesterday that is gone now (on the bright side, we were listening to the Pixies in the car the other day, and Milo said he "liked those songs". Figures, but.. in a good way :-). Lilliana wants to play, but... I am at a critical stage in my graduation dinner planning, class gift gathering, giant fundraiser final numbers and print coordination (so she is playing indoor hide n seek by herself with the plastic owl we leave on the deck to scare squirrels - like he's a real playmate - alternately sad and adorable ;-). Wow. Need to pick Enzo up later today too (and I think I may have sent him to school in one of Olivia's uniform shirts... he looked good, though). All good - all good.....

Speaking of good - as in "yum - GOOD". Have you ever tried Trader Joe's frozen mini croissants and / or chocolate croissants? They rise overnight - you bake - and they are so good - flaky, buttery, melty chocolate-y (though, of course, the mini croissants are just very flaky, no choc. - tres tres French - pretty authentic tasting). I highly recommend both! We have been loving them here. Olivia makes this great honey butter mixture and has hers that way..... tasty.

Good seems to be my theme here, so... maybe we're not so shaky today.

I cannot fathom eigth-grade graduation. I am just tearing up thinking about Jordan's graduation from K last year (although to be fair, I might still be a little sad about the Pens). Good luck with all that.

Oh, and great family photos, by the way. Was that the Seventh or Ninth Street bridge, or am I way off?

Oh - believe me, I tear up thinking about Enzo's K graduation too, and... we've kinda known all along that he would be doing kindergarten again. All these milestones just get me. It all settles for while, though - like you'll enjoy a long, happy sojourn into grade school with Jordan, then.... years into it, it'll hit you that she and all her friends look older (sniff). Enjoy this time with her - so much fun. I am looking forward to high school, though - the sports - theater - new opportunities...

Might be the 7th? Right near PNC Park.... they close it for games. Brain fry.... You know what I mean, right?

Olivia is just gorgeous and, as I recall, sweet as well. I remember my eighth grade graduation. After growing up with the same kids since 3rd grade, we were more like siblings than classmates. Those bonds last a long time and she will really treasure them. Congrats! PS- don't worry too much about Enzo if you decide to re-run, Kindergarten is even better the second time around, according to Sara.

I'm sure you've been told this many times, but your daughter is lovely.

Sherri, my son is also graduating 8th grade! So hard to believe.

As far as clothes - lucky, lucky boys. He just needs to wear a suit for his graduation!

Right now the entire 8th grade class (well, there are only 20 of them!) is in Washington DC on their 8th grade trip! Too much of him gone!

Lucky boys indeed, Linda. I have a friend whose son is in school with Olivia, and... he, like your son, had the bar mitzvah this year too - and graduation - and basketball banquet - and all the grad parties. I am buying five + dresses - she bought A suit :-). Same grad parties ... but the girls need an "outfit" - the boys just go, right? Anyway ... I'm with you in memories and sentimental tears this season....;-).
