And, Michelle - you are ...Thanks, Kim and Michelle. And, Michelle - you are so right. I do try to let it go and just spend time with the little ones - hang out, etc. Every now and then, these thoughts creep in, though, and.... sometimes, I do let things get out of hand (no clean laundry, etc. - it happens, right?). Anyway - again, you're right - need to do the hang out thing more. And, Kim - I do agree that we will be appreciated - I mean all you do for the sweet Jakester....Sherrihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08600904912151877914noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1947320675744665230.post-53793713140813202152009-11-25T13:43:45.028-05:002009-11-25T13:43:45.028-05:00is it possible for you to take a break? I don'...is it possible for you to take a break? I don't mean a 'real' vacation, but just stop doing anything & everything that isn't essential to life?

Stop cleaning so damn much, don't run errands you don't *have to* do, cook when you're hungry & provide mini-meals/snacks or make easy things available for everyone else when you aren't hungry & not cooking, don't go anywhere you don't want to go (this includes other family member's houses)...just spend your days with your children, some hot tea & whatever adventure they come up with. When they're older, do you want them to remember that you did 9000 things at once AND kept a clean house or that you were always fully present, willing to follow them on their paths NOW and NOT after the 'to-do' list?

BTW...I DON'T know how you do it! I get completely worn out reading your rants! I just want to come over & tie you down & feed you sleeping pills!!!

The most important advice I've ever been given is to BREATHE.
http://sandradodd.com/breathingMichele James-Parhamhttp://www.naturalattachment.netnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1947320675744665230.post-70025171508213775592009-11-07T22:07:14.456-05:002009-11-07T22:07:14.456-05:00I am reading this, wearing my own uniform of elast...I am reading this, wearing my own uniform of elastic waist yogaish capris, sweatshirt, and a cami (instead of bra) underneath...feeling good that someone else has trouble pulling it together just to make public appearances! :) One thing you said that I agree with...cut yourself some slack! Nobody walks in your shoes with your exact situation and I think you are doing a fine job. BTW...I have forgotten book fair money more than once and I think my middle name is "I'll see what I can do after I get Jake's (fill in the blank)." I just pray that they will grow up and give me credit for my effort...they know I love them and mean well, so that counts for something, right?Kimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03884188099501110472noreply@blogger.com
